    Hello all.

New member here sending greetings to all.

Just bought a new to me 07 Tiger 1050. Previously had an 05 Girlie.

Just bled the brakes front and rear, will be swapping pads as soon as they arrive. Replaced a faulty brake switch for the rear, yay, brake light works correctly now!.

Replacing all the hoses with $AMCO silicone...buy once, cry once.

Have a new set of Pilots waiting to mount and will slowly go through the bike to make sure everything is tip top.

Look forward to being a member.

    Cheers!

Welcome. Where in GA? I'm in Atlanta (from time to time when not in South Africa). I spent a good deal of time down south where all trips involved 30 miles, turn left, 30 miles turn left.... North Georgia was always a nice ride but now so very busy everywhere.

Faulty rear brake switch? I had a problem with that not too long ago too. Glad you got it sorted.

I really enjoyed the Pilot rubber, especially compared to the Italian, so I think you'll  be happy there too.

    Zulu, I am in Newnan.

Love riding in N. GA, we spent some time around Helen on the way back from the Dragon a few years ago.

I am almost done going through the bike. Having some issues with the rear brake. Somehow it managed to hang up and cooked the rotor pretty well. When i disassembled, the pads were literally in pieces. I replaced the rotor, rebuilt the caliper/master cylinder and new pads.  Now, no pedal!  I have bled to no end, can't find any leaks.  Just bizarre!

Hope to get that squared away this week, then up to Traxxion for a new Penske in the rear and rebuild/springs, valving up front.

    Cheers!

No, although when I worked at a Triumph dealership years ago, we had one.

This example is Black.  In remarkable cosmetic shape and overall good condition. However, the previous owner never flushed the braking system or the coolant. I never knew coolant could look so grungy!  Haha.

    Cheers

You'll find some old threads on cleaning out the grungy brown stuff from the expansion tank. Glad it was still doing its job. A couple of deposit removing flushes might be an idea too  :028:
