Engine swap

[ZX12R]

My 1050 has a 2012 speed triple engine fitted, does anyone know or can offer advice on the best map to use, I don't know which map it is running at present but will check next week.

Did you swap the ECU as well? It is very possible that the original ECU will not accept the Speed3 map.
What year is your Tiger and the donor S3 engine?

I did not do the swap, but will try to find out if the ecu was swapped, according to Triumph its a 2010 on a 9 plate,
donor was from a 2012 writeoff, I do have the original engine

why are you asking, do you have running problems?

 Hi  No running problems, but it feels like the mapping may not be right, like a very slight surging, and lots of soot at rear of exhaust, and pick up not as sharp as i would expect.

I think you need to start by running up TuneECU and seeing what the ecu thinks you are running. You'll need an ODB2 to USB cable with the FTDI chipset.

Might be difficult to modify the tune and a professional Dyno tuner might be the best route to take.
