I just don't like panniers at all. I prefer to go with a backbox and tank bag. If I need more storage, my pillion seat bag is pretty good  :031:

I don't carry anything on me or the seat, if it doesn't go in the boxes, it doesn't come. I like my luxury, none of those hotel beds, still warm from the Polish trucker & Romanian hooker. Only me been in my bed, any curlies are mine.  :152:

SWiMBO has decreed that camping is a no-no so we have to use Hotels, personally I'm for it as last time we went out with the GT Sprint I had an OEM Top box and panniers. The tent and two camp chairs were bungee'd to the rfears seat. By the time I'd found space for tools, water proofs, sleeping bags, air mattress and cooking gear I had half a pannier for my clothes....

This time as we toured the Picos on the 1050 Sport I had a Givi 47L top box (tools, puncture kit, waterproofs, spare gloves et'c) and a 40L waterproof bag on the seat.
Two weeks including ferry crossings and we still didn't use half the clothes we'd packed. so this was plenty for both of us.

I never touched it, you can't blame me, it went off when I was cleaning it.
