NOW SOLD - Tiger Sport for sale, White, luggage, many extras, 31.7k

    Hi all,

    NOW SOLD.
I've decided to sell my much-loved white Tiger Sport, 2014 model, with 31,700 miles. She has the white system panniers and many extras and mods. I'll list the ones I can remember. I'm the 2nd owner, owned for 5 years and taken the mileage from 12k to 31k. Still a great bike, but I bought her to do long, fast motorway runs across the Channel, and now that I'm retired I no longer need that capability, so looking for something lighter and smaller.

Nearly full history, last few years serviced by Simon at Milton Common Motorcycles, who is excellent, with a lot of the detailed mods carried out by me. Now needs a service, but I only did 400 miles in the past year. I will put a new MOT on. She is in excellent condition and will still pull my arms off if I let her go. Present location is in the North East, Newcastle upon Tyne.

I'm looking for £5,300, and I think the bike is worth this.

    So, the list:
    - Triumph panniers, matching white.
    - heated grips.
    - handguards.
    - Triumph shortie levers.
    - Speed Triple mirrors (they're set lower and wider, much better than original).
    - flyscreen.
    - MGS crash bungs.
    - Camera system front and rear.
    - LED driving lights (the switch is labelled Zombie lights).
    - Garmin Zumo mount wired in, central location.
    - Voltmeter.
    - New hybrid battery, half AGM half lithium (charged with conventional trickle charger).
    - Good Road 5 tyres.
    - Beowulf rad and oil cooler protectors.
    - Twin horns.
    - Scottoiler.
    - Rear mudguard extension (the Far East market optional extra, quite rare).
    - more when I can remember, detailed stuff like stainless steel pins on the brake calipers.

Forgot to mention - also a Nitron rear shock, sprung for 90 Kg rider weight - transforms rear end!

As always, any test rides then full cash price in hand first.

Well it seems there's zero interest, so I've decided to accept the dealer's part-ex offer, derisory though it is, just because it's less hassle. I'll probably have some bits to sell off in due course when I get round to sorting out the shed.

Aha. I'll let you know if and when the deal goes through! Not quite done yet.

I've signed the agreement for a Tiger 900 GT Pro. 1000 miles on the clock, so (according to me) not bedded in yet. Slightly smaller yet feels a lot lighter, more than enough power for my needs, and I hope will do me just fine.

Even though it's pretty well specced to start with, I have plans!  :007: Rubbing my hands just thinking about it ... ! How can I make this one non-standard ....

Enjoy. A mate in BE (from your old company in fact) recently traded his 800 for one and is very happy with it.

Thanks. Was at the local Triumph dealership this morning having a gossip. Admiring the new Tiger 1200 GT, apparently 60 Kg lighter than the old Explorer! But too tall for me, even the road version.

While I was there another rider I know decided to trade in his Explorer for one. But he hadn't realised the screen is no longer electric!  :015:  AFAIAC electric screen is nice to have, but saving weight far more important. Ah well, it's only 18 grand and a bit ......

Hard to believe that I once bought a tatty Royal Enfield rigid for £2, and a Norton ES2 with a box of bits that included a spare engine for £8 .....  :027:  I think I must be getting old ....

A couple of the boys have bought the 900GT Pro, they're both 29" i/l & flat foot it. We call it a girls bike 'cos it has a built-in vibrator.   :745:  :164:

Doesn't bother me, I've never been one for the machismo stuff, having once met a petite (and very attractive) young Englishwoman who'd crossed Africa south to north on a Honda 250!

No, I'm hoping I'll get on topof the vibration stuff, because in every other way the bike suits me fine. If push comes to shove, I'll do what some Americans have suggested, and drill the handlebar and fill it with lead shot.  :027:
