    Thanks!

I opened my big trap and proposed doing this for under $20. So, can't go to Autozone or O'Reilly. Also, can't use a single DPDT relay as they run $13 alone. Now I'm waiting on 4 x 30A 5-pin SPDT relays for $6.50 from Amazon. While I am waiting, I have refined my drawing to aid with how I will actually crimp, solder or use connectors. Everything will now fit up in the nose cone where the flasher relay was mounted, hence no water problems. I have only a few days left before I fly out to South Africa for a few months (hopefully the rest of the year - lots going on) so the pressure is on. The bike is stripped and waiting for Amazon to perform!

I've tested everything on the bike, just need the relays. Do I have to add the cost of the heat shrink I had in my box? And crimp lugs? Might be $22  :745:

Got the relays, each is about 1/3 the size of the flasher unit, very compact. I'm having the hardest time committing to cutting into the OEM loom on my pristine bike. It feels wrong. And then I need to add wiring (4 conductors) from the C-Section to the cockpit mounting point. Inelegant. I've bundled up all the hardware and will decide in the fall (or winter) when I get back. I've looked at every-which-way to find a solution that goes where the flasher is removed - no luck with my hardware. Re-installed the LED flasher and hope for a final ride tomorrow sans SCF.

KTM time is at hand! Can't remember what they have on the 1190? I guess I was so busy riding, I never paid attention. No point indicating in SA anyway, it's a detail to the Zulu. A flashing amber signal is just a 'hello', nothing more :745: If you're serious about turning in front of a Toyota Hiace Siyaya people-mover, it takes a horn (another hello) and good reflexes, not hardware.

After getting on the KTM I had an epiphany. I never fail to cancel my flashers because I can see the tell-tales clearly. So, outside-of-the-box thinking says forget timers, etc, just wire an LED in parallel with the front flashers that can be seen from the cockpit. I'm thinking of putting a backward facing LED on the stalk, or ....... < your idea here >
