Went in to the office today and when I got home I thought I'd check my cameras for alignment. Also decided to see if I could do a split screen synced between front and rear.
So here's an arbitrary 3 minutes that is not crazy city commuting or scenic country bimbling / blasting. Apologies for the degradation as the lenses got dirtier

HAH! Lane splitting in the rain would drive an American Trooper or Sheriff deputy cuckoo! And, having been stuck in a recent interstate snarl, it shows how illogical some rules are. Nice visuals, very good insurance if you have an off.

The least I can say is .... it was wet over there. Over here it is freaking hot for the moment. I am not used to that anymore.

About the lane splitting, I have to do it almost everyday on small parts on the highway riding home from work. I am used to it, but it is tiring and it asks for a 100% awareness of the surroundings and actions that can be taken by any car in front. In the rain, it is even more difficult.
Here in Belgium , there is a legal aspect :

Motorcyclists have been legally allowed to 'filter traffic jams' for several years: to drive through traffic jams at a limited speed. The advantage is that motorcyclists get to their destination more quickly, helping to keep traffic jams shorter than if they too had to queue.
However, this practice is subject to a number of rules. As a motorcyclist, you may not drive faster than 50 km/h, and the speed difference between the motorcyclist and the other vehicles in the traffic jam may not exceed 20 km/h. The philosophy is that as a motorcyclist you can safely continue driving, but with attention to safety.

You may also only filter traffic jams in the traffic jam between the two leftmost lanes. In principle, using your four turn signals is not allowed, but it is often done to be extra visible.

Well yesterday the air temp was 32 when I left London, it was a lot hotter on the road. I was in full summer gear (nothing waterproof). When the thunderstorm hit the temp dropped to 20 and it was a huge relief. By the time I got home (another 15 miles) I was completely dry

TBH I knew that thunderstorms were forecast and by the time I was able to escape the city I really hoped one would find me

What type of set up is that Sean? I assume two cams, and you manually linked them? Sorry if asking stupid questions....

been seriously considering mounting something for the same reason you did. Not sure what best options are.

Front cam is under the headlight (wouldn't want to capture the speedo

) and rear is on the base of the rear rack. Main unit under the seat and wired to the ignition so it starts recording when I start. Its in loop mode - 256Gb card holds about 5 hours from the 2 cameras. Its rare that I even check them, thankfully I can't confirm if the crash detection works

Yeah I merged them manually but easy enough because it saves 3 minute clips and uses the same name for front and rear.
Edit: Next model up costs slightly more and has GPS which is probably useful (except for speed recording) but I just wanted it as small as possible.
