    Morning All!

Been looking for a new bike for a while and eventually settled on an 09 Tiger.

As of yesterday this now belongs to me.

Needs some a little tidy up in places but otherwise all good!

handguards look like they've done their job  :008:

An observation, chain is way too tight, generally slack should be 40-45mm makes gearchange and engine run smoother  :028:
minor downside is a bit of chain slap on a trailing throttle

Nice looking Tiger! Is that a very low mile one? Reason I ask is the tires look like the original Michelin Pilot Road's and original chain ( blue Master link). There is a four digit code on each tire that give the production date.  For example,  2409 is the 24th. week of 2009. If those are the original 14 year old tires, would be wise to swap those out. I have the Road 6 versions on my 08 Tiger and they are a big improvement over the original (1's).

Larger than life and twice as ugly!

    Thanks for the welcome.

In answer to some of the questions:

The tyres are 11years old and as part of the deal with the bike shop they are being swapped for some fresh Pilot Road 4's. (had them on a Busa and loved them).

The chain & sprockets are on their last legs and will be swapped for a new set in the not too distant future.

The bike has 60k km's (about 40k miles) on it and has been rebuilt at some point as it was a CAT C write off in 2016. Not really bothered about this as it's done 20k miles since the write off and it runs and rides perfectly.

It started life as an  ABS model but the ABS has been stripped off it, most like when the front end was replaced.

It's a reasonablly tidy example and will be put ti use as a commuter and for some touring (planned trip to Scotland later in the year). Already purchased some Ventura luggage and a Quadlock.

Will then do some fettling over the winter.
