Parts (un)availability

Hi. I'm a recent convert from BMW having, within the last year, purchased a 2010 1050. I am currently trying to source a headlight init and was shocked to find them discontinued by Triumph and generally unavailable.
Is this the norm with Triumph?
In over 20 years with Bmw I never once was unable to source spares.
Thoughts?

With a bit of modification the TS headlight fits. Maybe why the old one is discontinued.

Yip that’s the route I’m heading down now🤞
My initial point was that if I had damaged my headlight in an accident, as opposed to incompetence, the bike would essentially be a write off due to parts unavailability.

Fair point, but a 13-year-old bike would get written off for a few scuffs.
Manufacturers are obliged to carry spares for 10 years after production of a model ends iirc, where should they draw the line?
