Hi.  Had my 1050 for a year or so now.   Not sure if it hates me but it feels like it most of the time.   Been lurking for a while but now in serious need of forum help!  Be gentle.

Hi Steve.  Ahhh where to start?   A lot of my niggles rest with the previous mods made by prior owners.  For example, aftermarket handlebar which gave a horrendous seating position,  aftermarket levers which liked to fold upwards just as you reached for the brake (they were really fun),  Sports tyres,  USB outlets which were on a permanent feed for the battery...  All of which I have rectified.
    Hideous seat cover, future fix.
Other things I hated:  Cyclops headlight, rectification in progress now.
Lack of gear indicator, I know, I'm ex BMW so I got used to having one, now rectified thanks to Healtech.
Clutch, hmm,  another future fix,  doesn't like finding neutral.
The panniers, or as I refer to them, piece boxes, but they do look good on the bike.  Might Givi that issue in the future.

Why did I buy it with all these things I hate.   It looks stunning, it's comfortable, now, and it can fairly munch the miles.
I'm maybe just a creature of habit and was so used to my old BM that everything else just isn't right!  Now slowly checking off all the things I dislike and hopefully I'll soon start to gel with it.

Ah, ok so not intrinsically an issue with the bike itself,
What is the problem with the lights? believe me they can't be any worse than the original candle power!
If you are going back to standard you will soon find a pair of auxiliary's will be on your list of improvements,

Re lights.  I was converting to the Retrofit labs kit but instead created a disaster of my own making.
Now awaiting parts to do the TS mod so fingers crossed I should have decent twin lights soon.
