    Headlight Part Number

    Hi.
I'm in need of a replacement headlight assembly for my 2007 Tiger 1050. Triumph tells me that they're no longer available. Ive read about the Tiger Sport Headlight mod. I'm in Australia so the LH Dip is T2709002 I believe. Can someone confirm that that will fit my bike? And can someone tell me what is the T2709018 symmetrical dip? Does that mean both lights work simultaneously?
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry Dunc, can't help with your Questions. But if you do facebook, someone on the Australian Tiger 1050 Owners group should know

Sport headlights you can buy each side/half unit separately and they bolt together unlike the previous model where the unit was just one solid lump.

There is no left/right dipped unit option, they only come in symmetrical dip, meaning there is no pronounced kick up to the side and it is therefore usable whatever side of the road you drive on.
Complete unit is T2709018 - what you want
    Left hand unit only T2709002
    Right hand unit only T2709019
OE the Sport has either both sides low beam or both sides high beam come on.
You'll need to do some wiring mods to adapt them to the not-Sport loom and some minor bracketry work as the fit on the sides to the fairings is slightly different.  All of which is detailed in the electrical stickies on here.

Hi Dunc.   I find myself in the same position as yourself, need a replacement for the 1050 headlight!   Unbelievable that Triumph have discontinued these parts.
Did you succeed in fitting T 2709018 to your bike?

Actually, not unbelievable at all. The OEM pre-Sport headlight was a mess and the Sport version is a big upgrade that can work with a little effort. Triumph probably saw the demand for the old unit was zilch and they saw that on this forum!
