3 failed attempts at plugging my rear “pilot 5” with tar strip failed with loosing around 10 psi every 2 weeks…
a small staple penetrated into the water Channel and just could keep it sealed… the tire only had 3000km on it…
Replaced with pilot 6 $410 aud….
Feels great
RV90, XL250, XL500, GSX750ES, CB750SC, VT750, ST1300A...took a while...2012 Tiger 1050SE

I'm being pedantic but there's no such thing as a Pilot 5 or a Sport 6.
Michelin dropped the Pilot name back in 2018, they are now simply Road 5 or Road 6.
A bugger that it only did 3k but sorted now....
