For those that have mounted your GPS above the instrument cluster, how did you mount it.
Need to see some inspiration before have a go at it myself.

There's a whole thread on it somewhere. For me it was just an old ram mount I had lying around. Drilled a hole and put a nut behind it.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Mine is a RAM mount on the bars rather than down on the fairing.  Works fine and much easier to reach.  The mount is permanently wired, I just run the cables along the other ones that go to the switch cube, then down to the power socket by my left knee.

I currently have my Gps mount on the Bars with a BikePenR handlebar clamp mount, but found while recently riding in a rain storm, the rain drops would activate the touch screen on the Zumo. hence my reasoning to relocate.

After reading about all the available options, I decided to use what I had and just make up a new mounting bracket to suit.

Pic shows Garmin mount for XT, ZumoLock locking device and BikePenR mount that I had.

    Nicely done.  :152:
I also have my GSM mount on the bars incl usb feed. It works fine, but when using wy tankbag, it does interfere a bit.
So , I am also looking at making a diy mounting bracket to have the GSM case ( I use WAZE all the time ) in this location above the instrument cluster. I was also looking in this direction.

I don't use a GPS, but I have my phone and WAZE on on every ride (warns me over bluetooth for traffic jams, dangers, and speedcontrols )
I used a cheap amazon phoneholder on my handlebar ,that clamps the phone and has integrated USB feed for years and it works perfect and firm, even on high speeds on my former naked street triple and on the tiger sport.
But I got a GIVI tankbag with my Tiger and when using it, it interferes with my phone on the handlebar, so I decided to DIY a clamp above my instrumentcluster.

I have a samsung A52 and I use for a long time a very robust phonecase "supcase". That comes with a clipon plastic caseholder that I never used though.
So I decided to make an aluminium bracket to fit this caseholder exactly where I wanted it on my Tiger.
A 3mm aluminium plate, some cutting, some filing, drilling, bending and there it is.

I also ordered a waterproof USB socket on bol.com, that will be fixed under the bracket once I get

A nice feature of that caseholder is that I can even rotate the phone vertical if I wanted to and still see the instrumentcluster

On the pictures, you can still see the old amazon phoneholder. I will demount it once I have tested the new setup, to clean up the handlebar

Evotech make some really good GPS and Phone mounting brackets for many makes and models but they don't make one for the 1050.  I contacted them and no, don't have. Not sure if there is another model using the same types mounts. Sample pic is a 900Gt
