Hello all! New owner of a 08 Tiger affectionately named The Angry Carrot. Picked it up locally off Facebook Marketplace. 37k miles on the clock, been laid down, but dang if that Trident coupled with a Remus exhaust doesn't sound good. Sealed the deal and promptly encountered the dreaded hot start issue. Realized that letting it idle with high beams and foglights on for 30 minutes was not good. Found this forum and holy cow, there are some incredible tips here. Suffice to say, I've already ordered a Motobatt replacement, a CalSci windscreen, and am currently working on upgrading to 4ga wiring. Still not sure if my issue was lack of revs related or deeper like the R/R or stator. While working on the wiring upgrade, planned on testing stator phases for continuity and R/R for diodes. Thankful this exists and would sure like to buy this Hamlin guy a beer if he's ever in Montana!

:401:  You'll need to post up ride reports with pictures from Kalispell and surrounding scenery to show off your neighborhood.  :002:

Hamlin doesn't show up much. Think its been a while looks like March.  Send him a PM and make it personal, doubt he would search every thread.
I don't, only what interests me.
Sounds like you found the sticky's, new to me is a good one if you haven't found it.
