    Hi All,

Since TigerDude was already taken, I opted for TijgerGast as my nic, which literally means TigerDude in Dutch   :001:
My previous nic’s on other fora were VstromDude and BeemerDude (not much fantasy needed to figure out why).
Bought a 2008 Tiger 1050 ABS this afternoon after being motorless for the last 2 years.
    Started out with a K5 model V-Strom 650 in 2008 (coincidence?)
After that I got a company sponsored L2 model V-Strom 650 (with ABS) and in 2015 a BMW F800GS which was cheaper in the lease than a new V-Strom 1000.
Must say I loved the Strom’s, every man’s friend, but the 800GS was a bit more fun.
Now that my son got his licence and bought his first bike, a Yamaha MT-07 with an Akra, it rattled my chain so to speak and I started looking for a bike again.
Always fancied a Triumph, but not much into naked bikes, so the street triple wasn’t an option, no matter how good the steering experience.
I ran into a perfect Tiger 1050 on the internet here, that’s from 2008 with just 50k on the odo and looking like it just left the showroom. Has belonged to someone who really took care of it and added some nice features.
I’ll add some pics later on.
Hope to get some good pointers here on the Tiger. My experience with the fora for the V-Strom and the 800GS have been good, so you’ll probably hear from me soon asking how to do this and how to do that…

    Yup, that was me  :008:

Indeed, it certainly is a step up from the 650 and 800 bikes, also the extra cylinder does a lot.
Yesterday on the highway, doing 110 kph in 6th gear, open up the throttle and wow... :156: like someone was pushing me forward from behind. Such power, awesome!  :152:

Looks like a really nice example you found  :031:, hope you have lots of miles together.
Give it a few weeks and we will have you doing 110 kph in 4th and then opening up the throttle  :007:

Don't know the make. It came with the bike as is and having looked for a brand on it, I found none.
It's a rear fender and chain guard in one.
