Anyone know how to remove the Factory supplied top box ?
I can’t see any bolts holding it to the rack

Try the ignition key to unlock the thing

Didn't have one but believe it's same as the panniers, just pull out the handle as far as it will go which should release it

Be aware they can get stiff due to water and dirt, if you're struggling don't force it, spray some wd40 or similar in the lock and hinge area and if you can the latches underneath

I suggest not using WD40. It leaves a sticky residue when it evaporates, which accumulates dirt, and it's not a great lubricant. Something like GT85 is probably better as a short term fix, but having got it open, I'd clean out the lock with brake cleaner, then tip in some dry graphite powder as a lubricant - it's sold for this purpose. Nb I have only used the brake cleaner with unpainted panniers, so check it's ok with the paint.

Thanks all, pulled the topbox off yesterday, locks etc are all good 👍🏼
When I bought the bike it was about 2 yrs old and the guy had spent a bomb on extras (factory grips, c/stand, tracker, 3 box factory luggage), only done 2,6k on it.
