Very nicely done! Those mirrors are unique - what are they?

Those mirrors came from Touratech-

So far I really like them, we’ll see how they hold up, they weren’t cheap and claim to be very durable but they are mostly plastic and pretty lightweight at that. Only time will tell!

Hi @Nate_Espy really like those handlebars. I can see they are evo but wondered what the model name is? Would love those on my 1050.

They’re the ProTaper EVO Adventure high bend. I’m pretty stoked on them!

I really like these bars. Can I ask, what risers did you use and did they fit okay with the stock hand guards and bar ends?

I want something easy to fit with OEM bar ends and hand guards.

Thanks in advance.

When you replace the bars you are going to have to be a little creative. The OEM chrome units have in-board female threads. New bars will be hollow. There are ways to do this so that you keep all of your OEM damper weights and guards but it requires some (cheap) hardware. I documented how to do it back in 2014 if you feel inclined to do a search. Never mind, I found it. See below....

Yeah, I was pretty much tossing all the stock stuff, my heated grips were not working like they used to, stock handguards were very faded- and a little clunky looking to my eye.

I used ProTaper oversized universal clamps- had to reuse the stock bolts and grind the heads down to fit bit otherwise it was pretty straightforward.

Thanks for sharing this. Had a read through and was really helpful. Think I need to make sure the height of the bars will be comfortable- did see some sw motec clamps that can adjust both vertically and horizontally

So no issue for you fitting the new handguards and bar ends with the new bars?
