Hi from New Zealand
on: 04 July, 2021, 10:01:59 AM
Just picked up a 08 Tiger 1050, bought it basically sight unseen as price was right. I flew up and rode the bike home. Rode 100kms over 2 days to bring her home and she preformed flawlessly. I was very surprised with the ride and comfort. Ive had at least 10 Triumph triples, and have sitting in my garage a 2020 Thruxton R and a 2008 Kawasaki ZX14, but I have to say the Tiger is the easiest bike Ive ever travelled any distance on. Its got some small issues I will sort out but looking forward to doing some miles on her

Suprised you're not snowed in  :031:

Yep missed a zero, just over 1000kms, blisteringly cold, but no snow. But the Tiger really surprised me. Was buying it just to tidy up and flick on to make a dollar, but after the ride I think she may stay around for awhile

:001:Hi to Hi from New Zealand. I did not think anyone was as crazy as me. I just flew up to Dorkland picked up a 2008 Tiger 1050 sight unseen and rode back to Pegasus Christchurch via Tauranga, Waikanae, Bluebridge Ferry (10% discount with Ulysses Club) Kaikoura to Pegasus. A little over a 1000 k's in three days. Desert road was cold and the trip from Blenheim on was freezing and dark. Bike met all my expectations. It is the second 1050 I have owned. Now getting stripped and cleaned in the garage.
