In 2004 I owned a Tuono and I joined AF1apriliaforum, hence the AF1 prefix on my user name. Long story shortened, myself and a fellow Tuono rider managed to organise a Tour for 10 Tuonos, which we called the AlpsTT (TuonoTour) it was a huge success, so much so we still tour and ride with each other today, covering many thousands of miles ..

One of the lads from the early days fell on hard times last year, a combination of bad timing, bad luck and the lockdown which lead to redundancy with no pay-out, to top it off he was diagnosed with early onset of MS.
Not to be beat by all this, he has stopped smoking, always a good move, improved his diet and taken up the gym (when it re-opens) he's done such a good job he's in a position to apply to be a personal trainer.
Problem was, having the dosh for the course

so, the good part, one of the lads lives close to him and keeps in touch, he mentioned it to one of the other lads who mentioned it to another lad and before we knew it we'd raised over £700 and still counting..
The recipient, I've been told, is very thankful and very emotional...

... and hopefully back on the road to success..

Bikers eh, what an ace bunch of folks....
Thought I would share this positive story amongst all the

that's going around at the moment..
This isn't a plug for donations, the fund raising started and finished with us.. job is done..
