Bit of an update.. Found the issue, its not the indicator flasher relay or the handlebar switch...
I have a poor connection/broken/corroded wire in the connector block where the left handlebar cable plugs into the main loom, its 1 (or possibly all) of the 3 wires that feed the indicator switch  :138:
found it by sticking 1 probe of a multimeter into 1 of the connections & then onto negative terminal of the battery, the indicators suddenly sprang into life  :046:
so indicators work intermittently at the moment  :192:
the connector that comes off the main loom is only on a short cable so not easy to get at without tank & airbox off. i'm going to fix it by taking the 3 wires out of each side of the connector & putting them in a separate 3 pin waterproof Delphi connector that i bought for another job that i never got round to doing last year,
1 similar to this..

on another note, i have put a deposit down on this..
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-details/202101057643622?postcode=ox169tf&include-delivery-option=on&radius=100&advertising-location=at_bikes&model=TIGER%201050&make=TRIUMPH&sort=price-asc&price-from=8500&price-to=9000&page=1
so i will be joining the Tiger Sport ranks in the next couple of weeks  :152:

i am going to give my current Tiger a damn good clean & spruce up & hopefully put up for sale in a few weeks, i will be sorry to see her go after nearly 4 years & the 65,000 miles i have put on her, she has given me many smiles & memories.. and the odd grumble & swear word too but i have learnt so much about it.. :031:

:046: Happy new bike Mike :062: give it a spray over, it'll be fine. :745: Didn't belong to anybody on here? Low miles, PO likely got fed up of lockdown.

My chum down Kent just chopped his '18 T800xcr in for a new Tiger Sport 1050.

Cheers Paul, No - dont think its anyone on here, guy at Fowlers said it belonged to 1 of their best customers, he buys at least 1 new bike every year, only rides on sunny days & keeps it in a garage, has chopped it in against a new 1200 Speed Triple RS.. more money than sense by the sound of it.  :008:
my gain i guess, i nearly bought a zero miles new one but saw this with the extras for 400 quid less & it was a no brainer...  :028:
new ones dont come with centre stand, heated grips or a Givi rear rack, unless you get 1 of the few left with all the boxes on for 10,900
i saved about 5 to 600 quid on the extras alone by buying a low mileage nearly new one  :152:

Aye Mike, let somebody else load it up with goodies. Me chum was on the phone yesterday, he got no freebies at all, checking what I'd fitted & reeling off his list of extras he's now to buy, soon adds up. Crazy they don't come with centre-stands. Mine came with free Triumph panniers but they harpooned the backs of me hands once too often.

Update on the indicators issue,  i bypassed the connector block with the 3 wires from the handlebar but still no good strangely  :191:
So i havd been riding with no indicators last 2 days,.. i know .. :192:
i noticed this afternoon on he way home that if i activated the switch then pulled the front brake that the indicators start flashing.. wierd  :187: but it only happens when moving, they wont flash when stationary.
Is it possible that a wire from the brake light is touching one of the indicator wires somewhere in the loom..
Any thoughts from the electrical wizards?  :033:
