Unfortunately ACC has a stigma attached to it you need to be at least 6 to 12 months clean from ACC for most employers to think about taking you on these days with Health an Safety being pushed so hard these days
What ever happened to suck it up and get on with the job , no bones sticking out just carry on
Now even a scratch or small cut will see you bundled off to the Doctors quick smart by your employer
I love living in the country literally out the drive and 400 mtrs later and I am in open road with fields and paddocks as far as I can see NO long boring motorways to troll down to exit the city

I found this which I am sure would take more than 6 months to fix
:
Agenesis of corpus callosum (ACC) is a rare disorder that is present at birth (congenital). It is characterized by a partial or complete absence (agenesis) of an area of the brain that connects the two cerebral hemispheres. This part of the brain is normally composed of transverse fibers.
Nice one Paul, that ovine allusion gave me a chuckle.

ACC is an accident compensation corporation. which means if we have an accident all medical bills are paid for and you receive 80% of your income until you are fit for work again. We pay a levy into it each payday, plus we pay a fee when we register a motorcycle which compared to the fee on a car is triple the amount. so on a car, it around say $50 a year, for a motorcycle it $450 due to a higher risk of an accident.

Hi Grumpy,
Hope it goes well with the possible job & house in Matamata and the TS hangs around.
I will have to go for a ride and say hello in TA or MM very soon.
If you do end up looking for a different ride have you considered the older 1050 Tiger? (non-sport)
You might be able to find one that someone has sorted out all the quirks.

My thoughts too, I still think my 2011 is a terrific bike.

well I went and sold the T/Sport
And bought a............K7 2009 Suzuki GSX1400
in the blue and white colour scheme
It is a bit of a project and needs cleaning up and a few bits fixed but all in all it is there and still original no awful accessories have been hung off of it
I just spent 2 days cleaning off years of road muck and giving the paint a clean and polish
Today it is off to Hamilton to get new tires fitted
Then tomorrow back to more cleaning, new air filter ,plugs, oil and filter etc maybe balance the throttle bodies ,change the brake and clutch fluid
Despite being 228 kilo's dry it seems so much lighter than the T/S and so much smaller to get your leg over ooo er
Now to clean up and sell the SC Project SC1R muffler and the MWR air filter that came off the Tiger
Also need to find a new forum that may be a chore to find one as good as this one
