Has anyone added a dimmer to warning lights?
on: 27 November, 2020, 01:30:44 AM
Donít know if itís just me, but when using cruise control at night I get blinded by the ultrabright green cruise on light.
Just wondering if anyone has done a dimmer mod to reduce the brightness of the tachoís warning lights at nights?

Didn't know it was an option.. Cheap easy temp fix.  Black electrical tape.  If the speed holds when  you hit set. The cruise is ON, if not it's OFF.

Guessing it's like other cruise controls.

Is there not a setting for that on the same menu as the auto-cancel for the flashers?

I don't know if the bulb is removable however if it is, you could just charge the bulb rating.

Just a thought, but could you make a cover, same shape as the clocks, out of tinted perspex and clip or Velcro it on as and when needed, seems easier and safer than messing with tge electrics..

To be fair it is mostly the cruise light that is so bright, so a piece of tape will do the job just fine.
