Why ever not? I made one for mine from some 10mm Ally plate and only drilled two holes. They are m4 countersunk allen screws as they don't take any weight, they just have to hold it in place.
I have a gravel drive so I got fed up of trying to kick a bit of ply/allyplate et'c under stand when I get in from work. Plus the 10mm extra height doesn't sound much but it don't half make the bike stand upright more.

I never touched it, you can't blame me, it went off when I was cleaning it.

I had a fitter/turner friend fabricate a 5 mm iron plate and tig weld it onto my sidestand
He cursed the job, as he said the foot plate is “forged steel” and doesn’t take weld neatly, but it is very strong and secure

No matter how remote the location I've never had to look far for a soft drink can to shove under the sidestand.
Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration since I live in Australia but there's usually a stone or a stick within scratching distance of my foot that I can manoeuvre into place.

For the relatively low cost of a foot, I cannot see the point in faffing around to find something to put under the stand while the bike is presumably already on soft ground or a mate holding it up while you find something,
Also a puck on a string has to be easy to hand so in a pocket or tank bag or strapped to something, nope, why make things complicated

Put it on the day I picked up the bike and never worried about it for the next 4 years / 40k miles

I made mine because I was unable to find one online for the TS.

Motorcycle forums can be a curse.. 40 odd years I've been riding and never found a need for a side stand foot enlarger but now I feel the need to buy one or make one.. WTF!!

Never camped with the bike? Some of the classic bike shows too, like Stafford, are on very soft ground. Some years they give out free plastic pucks, but then another year someone forget to pack them
