MRA Vario Touring Screen
« on: 06 August, 2020, 07:11:30 PM »
Latest accessory fitted was an mra vario screen. I fitted one on my last tiger, and although the 2016 tiger sport has a height adjustable screen I thought the addition of a spoiler would provide extra airflow deflection.

I'm 6' tall and I do find it makes a difference.

Best position for me is screen pulled up to the highest setting and the spoiler set to its highest position. I think the lower fixing brackets also increases the angle of the screen from the cockpit which I think helps push the airflow up higher and over your head.

It's not as heavily tinted as the original, but I think it looks sharper and more angular.

Sadly it still attracts suicidal bugs !

I wonder what it would take to mount that screen onto a 2010 tiger? Any ideas?

Are you talking about the whole assembly, or the MRA visor?  I've got an MRA visor mounted on stock screen. It's an improvement, but not the cure.

Apologies, meant to say I think it's the upper main screen mounting brackets that increase the angle of the screen from the cockpit. The screen at that point is mounted on some extension brackets. It's in 1of the pictures.

I think the screen is well made but does flex a little a higher speeds.

The 2016 TS has additional side deflectors fitted as stock. They are supposed to make a difference.

In yesterday's 33 degrees heat you might want to take the whole screen off anyway 😆
