Yeah thats how I would get on the bike especially with the side cases on, but I wouldnt attempt it at the moment.

A mate of mine does that, makes me cringe when I see it done.
I guess that's because the bikes I rode in the 70's wouldn't take it.

That's understandable, 70's bike frames were made of a bit of bent conduit. Not Reynolds steel tubing like a proper frame. Then folk wondered why they went round corners with the precision of a wheelbarrow.

YEESH ! I'm not exactly a typical shaped biker but even I wouldn't do that. with my Laptop strapped to the seat I can't swing my leg over (OOh err missus!) so I sort of hop on one leg and point the other over the seat. The only time I use footpegs to aid mounting is if it's on centrestand
I never touched it, you can't blame me, it went off when I was cleaning it.

Ha, I've seen people do that, love to watch, they like to kick feck out of the seat for some reason.  :745:

I'm similar, bust me knee in a crash 2010, walking awkward knackered hip on other leg. Why struggle when ya don't have to. I've been climbing on using footrest on all my bikes for the past 10 years. My hair turned blonde about same time.

Ditto but my knee was 1980, Hip (on same side) 1992. I'm nearly 60 and still waiting for the free 'highlights' to start growing in ! ! ! And NO. I don't want a GS (unless it's Suzuki based.)
