Turns out the battery is brand new and tests fine, still a annoying problem though 😡

check the plug to the back of the dash is fitted correctly. if not yiou may not be getting a permanent feed to the dash. Cycle through the data and see of things like your top recorded speed, average mileage wipes out as well as resetting the fuel calculator.
I never touched it, you can't blame me, it went off when I was cleaning it.
