Correct tune for 08 1050
on: 17 June, 2020, 03:59:53 PM
I have waded through a number of threads and posts on here trying to find the right tune for my 08 1050.  It has SAI, the Arrow can, cat fitted, Pipercross air filter, Iridium plugs and air box mod done so what is the correct tune and where can I find it?  It is currently running 50249. I'm a bit lost with finding the right one!

20548 is for stock bike.
20549 is for stock bike with TOR can fitted.
20542 is for stock bike with Arrow Road fitted.  *
20545 is for stock bike with Arrow Race fitted.  *
All up to E25 & 95RON with SAI.

* you'll be wanting one of these depending which Arrow can you have.

Should be info stamped on the exhaust to tell you which it is.

You should also try Dave's tune.

Was wondering baffle or not, quiet more than likely baffle.

Pull cat and the baffle then load mine.   :156:    :490:

Dont think the baffle is removable on the Arrow road exhaust.. if you don't want to pull the cat, dave73,s map is awesome,  no snatchy throttle at low speeds, a bit more oomph and a lovely burble from the exhaust, 👍👍

I don't want to pull the cat and the Arrow can may have a removable baffle.  The end of the pipe has a circlip which looks like it's holding everything in.  The can is 'E' marked so guessing it is the road one.  I will load Dave's tune and see what happens.  Hopefully mpg will not get worse and it will feel loads better.

If you have a genuine Triumph Tiger accessory Arrow e-marked "road" can, the baffle should not be removable. But some have modified it and removed the restrictor.  The Arrow race can is a straight through design and should have a bit of growl to the exhaust note. If you post a couple of pics of the can's output end, should be easy to figure out.

What mpg are you getting at the moment?
i was seeing about 50mpg with the 20542 arrow road map (commuting up & down the M40) dropped slightly to 46-48mpg after with Dave73's map but the bike runs so much better, sounds better too  :123: (some of that may be down to the SC Project exhaust i have as its generally a louder can than the Arrow..
i think you will be very pleased with the results after loading Dave73's Map & taking it for a spin the 1st time :028:
