Short screen option for a 2017 Tiger Sport
« on: 04 June, 2020, 09:24:49 PM »
Hi folks, been away from the forum for a while but have now got a 2017 Tiger Sport and am looking for a 3rd party short screen (bikini fairing etc) to replace the OE adjustable screen. Have had a look through the forum but can't see anything that recommends any short screens. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks

Cant say I recall seeing any shorter screens, most went for bigger. I would switch from the Large Puig in winter to the std screen in summer, both with a bolt on deflector

I've got the Powerbronze short screen on my 17 TS, which I use every now and then, usually in Summer.

Thanks for confirming

I don't do the long distances anymore and don't intend to for quite a while. I was toying with the idea of getting a smaller, cheaper and crucially lighter bike but love the TS so much its a keeper. I especially love the updates done from 2016 onwards after previously have a 2013 bike.

I also prefer shorter screens. I had a bikini screen on my 2013 and worked very well. Wind directed at my upper chest, no turbelence and no noisy air blast coming direct to my helmet. Longer screens only seem to work when they throw the air above you and I prefer to have the wind coming at my upper chest, while the rest below is protected, I can see for distance work that a big screen is necessary. I currently use an MRA spoiler, which helps a lot for the stock screen & stops turbulence, but is still noisy as the wind blast is still directed to the helmet

Do a picture with the new on the old before installing it to note the size difference.

I like my short screen really nice when it's hot.
