Sena RC4 remote control
« on: 30 March, 2020, 08:39:14 AM »
Hi all

Although i will likely,  not be riding in the near future due to home isolation during COVID ....my bike is truly ready!

As I am so impressed with my new Sena 20s evo

I purchased a Sena RC4, remote controller

Now Installed and Paired, for total hands free control of music, radio, phone, intercom and Siri!

Using a sharp box knife razor, I trimmed the rubber grip so as to allow the 15 mm width of the remote to fit (it can be fit without doing this but I preferred the slight extra glove room on the grip..)

The remote has a strong spring loaded  C clamp that holds it to the grip, but I also added a strip of silicone glue and passed locking wire thru the pin hinge, secured  around the bar.

It can still be stolen (like anything) if a thief wants it bad enough... I just didnt want to have to remove the device every time i park...

It has a Slim button style battery that lasts 3 months and a spare is included

Very neat and tidy job  :028:  I'd quite fancy one meself, must be better than trying to fiddle on the side of your helmet while riding!

But I'm afraid once fitted that I wouldn't be able to reach the LH switch cluster easily - it's a stretch already. Though this may be due to my shorty levers, which encourage you to rest your fingers on the end of the lever .... em, for leverage ....   :033:
