Factory bark buster bolt snapped off in bar
« on: 06 March, 2020, 04:24:07 PM »
I went to remove the factory bark busters on my 2012 1050 the throttle side came out fine but clutch side the long bolt snapped off inside the bar...too much locktight from what I could see. In any case Id like to be able to re instAll the bark busters at some point. Question is how do i get the parts out from inside the handle bar or...are they integrated (threaded) and part of the stock black triumph bars....in which case am I looking at just replacing the stock bars? Any help on this would be great. Thx

Drill a 3 mm hole, 20 mm long, through the bolt, then a conical stud extractor will do the trick.

Agree - drill out the bolt.  I am pretty sure the bars are not threaded.

Also as you don't have heated grips a hot air gun will melt the lock tight  :002:

2012 with alloy "fat" bars DOES have a thread in the end of the bars.
