Hi from Amersfoort, the Netherlands!
« on: 20 February, 2020, 03:59:16 PM »
Hi guys, gents and ladies!

My name is Danny, 39 years young and I live in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Since march 2019 I am the happy owner of an '09 Tiger SE. Bought her in pristine condition and I am really happy with her. Already changed the springs to Hyperpro, and my next upgrade will be an SC-project muffler, also want to change the airbox and SAI. My previous bikes where an Aprilia RSV 1000, Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 and an Yamaha Thundercat. But man, I love the Tiger 1050. So smooth, comfortable and powerful.

Upcoming may I will do some touring for a couple of days in the UK (south). Really looking forward to it!

Greetings  from Holland!

 :401: Danny,
How much difference did the Hyperpro springs make?
I have an SC Project fitted to mine and I think you will be pleasantly surprised  :031:
Works even better with the right map  :028:

the hyperpro springs did make a difference. What I hated about the standard springs was that her nose was diving in when braking. Now thats much, much better. Also she feels more stable when riding twisties, and it's much better now when i'm riding with my girlfriend on the bike.

Too bad the black SC-project high oval is not available anymore... Out of production and out of stock. Just got an e-mail from them. Someone here that haves one and want to get rid of it? Pick me ;)

I think the matt black one suits the colours of the SE best. If not, Carbon may be nice too..that one is still available..

I've got the carbon one, resists all the dirt and grime thrown at it riding all weathers, still looks good after a regular wash down  :028:
Thanks for the info on the Hyperpro springs, did you fit yourself or a garage?  :187:

Hi Mike, since I'm not technical at all my brother in law did most of the work. He loosened the forks and rear shock. I putted them in the back of the car, let Hyperpro install the new springs and drove back. My brother in law installed the forks and shocks again and done. Costed me less than 300 euro's. Good thing about Hyperpro is that you can always visit one of their service centers to let your setup checked and adjusted. So a week later I drove by with the Tiger and they did some changes.

Carbon has some benefits indeed, do you also have an SE in gray/matt black? If so, do you have a pic with the carbon SC? So I can see how it matches the bike.

Enjoy your weekend!

Sounds like you had good service from hyperpro.
