Clutch Switch - Tiger 1050 2007
« on: 14 February, 2020, 08:06:37 AM »
Hi Triumph Bikers,

I have been  running for 2 seasons without the clutch switch. It cracked down so i cut it and jumped the wires and the bike started great again.
What I didnt know was all error arose without the switch, and the fuel gauge is the most important for me.
After trouble shooting almost everything at the bike such as tank, floater sender, harness, connectors I red on the community that that the fuel gauge stops working when the clutch switch is removed.

Where on earth can I order a new clutch switch? (just the switch, not the handle)

Looking forward to your inputs.

Toby_Tiger, Just noticed where you are, I was over your way in August for the Triumph Britannia rally at Lenhovda. A good party the boys put on, were you there?

So you were there, really? Its just like 100km from my home. :028:
Tell me more about it, are there a website or a community for this rally?  :123:

For the Tiger I don't think it's available as a separate part, but the switch in question is used across a range of bikes for some of which you can buy it separately.  Eg T2505005 has the wrong plug on the tail for the Tiger but you can cut that off and just solder the wires.

I Agree . For the 1050 Triumph only sell it with the L/H handlebar switch cube, but sure somebody has used the early 955 one you mention above

Hi Toby,

The part number mentioned above will fit, I had to do the same last year. You can read about my experience here
