Garmin mount
« on: 18 January, 2020, 07:41:27 PM »
I've got a Palmer Products adjustable screen mount with the accessory bar on my 1050.  I was looking to mount my Garmin sat nav on the bar as it will then be in a more natural position to see but can't seem to find a suitable attachment to put the mount onto the bar.  Anyone got any ideas or done this?

I haven't, but I'd have thought a RAM ball mount of some kind. Plenty on eBay, and the Garmin does have a RAMball socket in the kit. You'll also need a USB lead for power though.

if you use the Garmin multi-wire kit you can get a back bracket from BMW to fit on the bar. (Approx 45 + VAT)
I used a RAM mount and two spacers to mount it with the ball facing forwards on a SW Motech bracket.
Will add a photo later as it is still Work in progress for the winter mods.

I can't find my post which shows a neat way to fit a bracket to the accessory bar. not sure of it will work with the Garmin mount, mine's a Tom Tom but worth a look, if you can find it. I'll take another look and post a link if I find it.
