Wonder how tall my work colleague/mate James will be when he gets on a bit.  Hes already lost an inch and is 6' 11" at present, f...ing man mountain. Fair play though hes lost 12St in weight over the last 3 years, a mere 21st now :005:

I went to Saddlecraft in Geordie land to redo my seat - much more comfy on the long trips, but looks original. Bigger, deeper gel pad inside was the solution.

And is the '13+ version a significant improvement? I do find the seat on my '18 is a right pain in the ar$e.  :003:

Never actually rode with it as stock. I took it straight to an upholsterer to have it re-made. Its much nicer now  :001:

I bought the bike used. It is a '15 model. Std seat wasn't really comfy. Bought a 16+ std seat and found it great. But being vertically challenged (read the term years ago and really liked it), I bought 16+ low seat and made 1cm lowering plates.
The comfiest seat is the 16+ std and yes it fits all Sport years.

Thanks for all the replies, I found a used 13-15 low seat which is due to arrive in the next couple of days. I'll try that out 1st then see if any more is required like lowering plates

I had my 16 seat recovered and gel inserts, never found it too bad but i had damaged the original cover so thought while its being done i will have inserts too...
Worst thing i could have done, the heat generated by the gel in the height of summer was unbearable... For me anyway, sensitive back side  :008:
I swapped it out for a standard one and all is well in the world again  :037: Sheepskin for my 10hr+ touring days though  :745:

Not what the OP was asking, sorry  :010:
