The Ducati 250cc Mach1 was road tested at 106mph by Motorcycle mechanics back in 1964.  Dunno if anybody ever managed the 110mph shown in the link. In the pub mebbe, we didn't have forums back then.

Is this the same bike? Saw it at cassington bike night. Then passed it on the oxford road later on about 2 miles from Banbury 👍

Yam RD125 DX, Kwak GPZ305, Honda CB400T, 1983 Kwak GT550, Suzuki GSF650 Bandit, Tiger 1050SE .... got there in the end.

Going off the front brake, that looks like the one Tim posted up as a Mk111, I wouldn't have wanted one of those, it was called a Diana. Ha.

Anybody sussed the difference in the Mk3 Diana to the Mach1? looks to be sold similar years. I thought the Mk3 might be the cooking motor being called Diana but from what I've seen they were both 28bhp. Some power from a 250 single back then eh.

Found it, the Mach1 "was later introduced to the American market where, under the name of Diana Mark 3 Super Sport, it proved again to be the fastest 250 street bike in the world."

Bet our cousins were well impressed with the bike but not so the name.
