Can someone confirm that this upgrade is not necessary on the 2014 sport? Thank you.. :028:

Cos I just love tinkering so if it needs doing I can add it to my list of things to tinker with..  :001:
The cables are mainly for the 07-12 Tigers but a better resolution to slow cranking and non starting is to fit a 14 series Yuasa as the OEM 12 series isnt really up to it after a year.
i think the Sport is fitted with a 14 series already as standard???
im sure someone with the same model as you will confirm  :158:
Yam RD125 DX, Kwak GPZ305, Honda CB400T, 1983 Kwak GT550, Suzuki GSF650 Bandit, Tiger 1050SE .... got there in the end.

Aye M8 we got the 14 series on the early sports. Never had a problem with the 12 series battery on my ST1050, started fine & still had original battery when I chopped it in for the TS at 6 years old.

Do you have a link to that 19 series battery?

Pudding is Jeff's nickname, so he has added it into his handle as a middle name.

I've not met him however I would be surprised if he was a slim fellow  :008:

When my 7 year old Shoria battery starting going south. Called them gave them my bike, they said this is the battery for our bike and was told pay up. Got the new battery it was a 19 series. Stock.

I thought when I both the original one I went way oversized.  Guess not.  LOL.

so Indy, is this the battery you have?  :435:

also as its a lithium, do you also need a different charger than the generic Optimate type charger?  :187:

Gives a choice of chargers bottom of this link:

Can't see any down side to these batteries. The price would obviously come way down with volume production so why don't the major manufacturers fit them? How safe are they?
