Exhaust fitted
« on: 25 June, 2019, 08:58:50 AM »
I managed to pick up this nice SC Project muffler from a local auction/classified site only used for 100 km's and is absolutely like new and sounds superb not too quiet and not too loud

Very Happy

the chap selling had bought it and then decided to sell his 1000 km old 2018 Tiger Sport due to difficulties riding after shoulder surgery sadly

The bike is filthy as it has barely stopped raining since I picked up the bike and I have been spending every free not raining minute getting the km's racked up for the 800 km service which is being done tomorrow

Cheers

Hi,

congrats with the nice looking exhaust  :002:.
did you feel any difference in the power output/torque curve after installing the new can?

All the best,

RM

Rain? In NZ? What's YD been telling us all these years?  :084:

When I say rain I mean RAIN and living in a rural part of the country that will include cow sh1t  mud and lots of quarry debris as well

And work keeps me busy 12 to 13 hrs a day driving up to 700 km's a day

Been out today in -3C temps and did another 300 km's after the first service

The new pipe seems to make it spin up faster and it does seem gruntier off the bottom end but that could be a placebo effect of the sweet sound the bike now makes as it entices you to twist the throttle further :007:

Hi GOM,

Sounds like you have similar conditions to the UK and Belgium then...
As for the exhaust, the only objective way to test it properly is a dyno run.
More important is the fact that you seem extremely happy with it ☺,

All the best,

RM
