Have Scottoiler on my Speed and an automatic German system (do not remember the name) on my Tiger. Works perfect, though it is true you have to clean the left side rear wheel rim more often. I disconnected the breather hose from the airbox and rerouted to the chain near the sprocket, so oil vapours are recycled to the chain (and the engine breathes only clean air).  Use to change the transmission kit every 75k kms, just because the chain ends up elongated. Never had seized links.

Very interesting post.  :062:

Very clever idea! I shall copy that before you have it patented  :152:

Ha, sounds like you remember doing it on our old Brit bikes that spit oil out of the breather like a snake spitting venom. Some would run the tube out to the back mudguard to keep the bike clean. The race bikes would have the breather fed into a Pepsi catch can to stop it going all over the track.

Hope that engine breather is sealed from outside air. It normally connects to the clean side of the airbox - you don't want dust and dirt getting into the motor via that breather ....  :156:

Sealed on the airbox connexion with a silicone cap, of course!

Hmmmmm..... once a week with some old 10w40 out of an ancient Halfors Bicycle oil can seems to work for me.  :027:

Chain on the Sprint lasted 40k miles and I only changed it because i thought it might be a good ieda before I set off into France ...  :300:
I never touched it, you can't blame me, it went off when I was cleaning it.
