Brilliant vid, is that the Atom with the 300bhp motor from the Civic Type R. Lap time? The record I believe is a 911 Porsche at 6.40'ish several cars in the 6.40's. Bike record is 7.10 for a nutter on an R1.

I thought it was the Lambo Huricane that holds the current record  :187:

I'd love an Ariel Atom  :152:

I guess you don't need to waste time defrosting the Atom's windows in our current frosty weather.

That's out of date m8, the record is the Porsche at 6.40 as I posted up. You boys are not keeping up.

Nar, I found the 6:40 Porsche 911 GT2 further down the page, and it's is beaten by a Porsche 919 with a 5:19 lap.

That's right m8, but the 919's a racing car not a road going sports car. Not really on to compare a race cars lap time with a road going bike. Lets be fair eh.

So as someone who has owned a number of Porsche vehicles and in the 1990s, went from a 911 to a 928, enjoying its vastly superior handling (51%/49% balance) and power, I was not happy with the backward step to the 911s electronically enhanced remake. But those guys have done a great job and I realise that I am pretty much alone with my opinion. I drove my brother in law's Carerra C4, a few years back, and it was large enough for our golf clubs and easy enough to drive around town, so I guess that is a part of the appeal of having an all rounder that goes pretty well, rather than an out and out sportscar.

I'd buy an out of the box Lambo Hurican over a Porsche works type special edition model, any day  :169:

One of my pals had a Porsche track car, looked like a 911 but had an odd number 9** I forget, totally stripped out with no carpets, had a roll cage. I drove it, it was horrible, had a sintered clutch that was in or out. He only had it a couple of months, wrote it off on way back from a track day, on the M1. He said he swerved to avoid something and got the renowned pendulum effect, ended up round a tree up the banking, totalled the Porsche.
