Your experience is interesting can only assume that all things electrical have moved on since then because their are guys on here who run such on their 1050 with the only real hassle being the cold.

Been thinking about this Chris, and you know what, I think the later 1050's use an FH020AA reg (Well, mine does). Yamaha have been using that reg for years and I wonder if yours has it??
