Which Tune - Arrow exhaust
« on: 09 November, 2018, 09:05:52 AM »
Hi folks,
I have been reading through the posts but I'm just as confused as when I started!
I have an arrow exhaust to fit to a regular 1050 Sport, no mods. I plan to open up the second airbox hole as well.
My bike currently runs sweet as a nut, no snatching whatsoever so I am very happy with it. The exhaust is for weight reduction really. I want to keep the low-speed smooth running so what tune do you knowledgeable folks reckon I should start with?
Thanks,
Alex.

"My bike currently runs sweet as a nut, no snatching whatsoever so I am very happy with it".

So, dont mess with it is my advice. There arent many maps for the MK1 sport

At least that is less work!!
Do you reckon the bike will behave much the same with the Arrow instead of the original?

Yeah, though if its got a removable baffle, with the baffle out it might need the aftermarket exhaust map ( there are only 2 variations I think).  Do an adaption after fitting it ( Start bike without touching throttle etc and leave to warm until fan comes on, then continue to leave idling for another 12 minutes)  If you dont want to mess with Tune ECU you could takes it t a dealer and ask them to load the map.

Great info. I will try the adaption. The baffle is not removable from what I can see anyway. I have no problem updating the map but just wondering which has worked best for folk. I suppose it might be a bit of trial and error.
Thank you.
