How much have you gained from the Hilltop ECU mod?
« on: 20 August, 2018, 08:42:08 AM »
Hi,

I recently upgraded my oem exhaust and air filter to a Scorpion Serket exhaust (baffle out) and an MWR air filter on my TS 17. I had a dyno run from before and after, which I already posted in the exhaust section, but am repeating here:

I am quite happy with the upgrade. The objective figures are not that much higher (a few units of torque and power), but the engine is a lot more responsive than before.
It also has an almost flawless air to fuel mixture.
Was considering doing the Hilltop ECU upgrade, but am honestly seriously doubting it now, as I can't imagine feeling a lot more improvement in the responsiveness.
Curve smoothing on a lot of dyno runs makes it very difficult to evaluate the changes.
I'd be interested to know the power and torque increases other users have gotten out of their Hilltop upgrades, to see if it's worth it.

Looking at your a/f mate I'd leave well alone, looks nigh on perfect. Whatever anyone else's graphs show is meaningless. You have same can as me and what we did work out on my first dyno run was that baffle out was the way to go. Your torque line looks very similar to mine, I've got a little more low down probably thanks to PC V.

Hi Timbox,

I agree mine is excellent. I am just wondering what kind of power and torque increase people are seeing after their Hilltop ECU upgrade. If it's just a few units, I will indeed stay away and extend my TS warranty to four years.

Agreed. If you're happy with the result don't mess with it.

Like a breath of fresh air in a world of smoke and mirrors when someone realises its all about the A/F and the results it can bring a great looking dyno run.
