My new Sport came with the Factory Sealed variety (but not AGM)

What is it then, if not AGM?

If it aint AGM it's likely a flooded or MF batteries, old school.

AGM batteries are supposed to be spill proof, the acid being absorbed by the fibre matting. Hence the name.

Why would one factory sealed be any better than a diy seal?

I might be talking B****ox chaps,  seems my Yuasa may be AGM after all, bit confused :084:

Hmmm, seems according to Yuasa website my Battery is "Moderate Installation Angle" compatible???  Whereas the YTX14H-BS  high power job is "Extreme Installation Angle" compatible,  reckon I should have that one really then, but Ive had no issues so maybe I'll just forget it

It's why they're called AGM batteries really. Salesman's shorthand for All Gubbins Mate ....  :001:

What have I started here  :745: :745: :745:.

On a serious not I have been further looking into new battery anyone fitted a LTX12-BS LION to 1050 I can can get one for 70 delivered seems expensive but but know nothing about new battery technology, battery seems to be 1/4 the weight of OEM straight swap but kicks out 210A and 3.5Ah twice the price of Exide AGM but comes with 3 year warranty.  Do these need any special tlc as in can i use normal charger if ever goes flat or use normal optimizer charger in the Winter?

Lithium's need their own intelligent chargers and the older design units don't like the cold.

I had intended chopping out the OEM battery in my new Tiger, but it seems to be a really good spec and I doubt it will have any issues with the newer starting sequence. Yes, even the headlamp stays off, until she fires  :001:

Yeah never understood why put headlight on before trying to crank bike over, might look at fitting a switch to disable that until bike starts
