Hi r3d6, just brought  a tiger sport 2014, and have the same tom tom gps. How did you connect it with power???

many thanks: imalrightjack

My sat nav is a BMW Nav5 but power is same. I've temporarily  got it wired to the horn circuit as that's an ignition live circuit so you cant leave it on by mistake. Take power red(?) to horn and black (-) to any earth point it reaches on frame etc.
I've got some LED lights coming and when I have mounted them I'm going to take the tank off and re-route all the rats nest of wiring at the front for accessories back to an ignition live fuse box in the toolbox.

Hi mates, I would like to mount my satnav as yours, drilling a central hole in the plastic screen bracket.
How are your arrangements holding on to the road?
It's a stable, reliable solution?

I've some worry about drilling the stock piece...

Saw the nice home made mount fitted to the 4 bolts that hold the screen mount in place and had a go at making one but my metalwork skills are sh*te.

So came up with this alternative.

I butchered an old Ram mount to fit the space. It was a 2 hole mount that I chopped off the second hole.

You do have to drill a hole in the screen mount but when you come to sell it's easily filled with a rubber grommet.

Thanks.

I think I'll use the upper cylindrical part of the OEM handlebar mount, with a 40-50 mm long extension beneath.

Might have to look at doing that, wondering if a plain ball like this:

assuming there's enough meat in the bracket to take the M8 bolt!

Sure you'll find a way. May want to start a new thread as most on this one have the adjustable screen.
