Hi All,  As the title states, Best check what Triumph alarm if fitted to your bike, as there's a campaign recall on the Triumph  Datatool S4 Red system.

Symptoms are; The alarm becoming difficult to disarm, the alarm making unexpected bleeps when arming / disarming or the alarm LED glowing faintly when the alarm is disarmed.
Details on how to check if your alarm qualifies for the recall are on the web link below.

Just an update on the recall of S4 RED alarms, Datatool is covering the full costs of a new unit being fitted. At 1st they said it was only the serial numbers with 8-8 numbers involved. My bike didn't have the 8-8 sequence but I sent them my number anyway, low & behold mine was affected too. Might be worth contacting them just to be safe, problem with the unit is that it could randomly immobilise the bike. Leaving you stranded or worse still maybe even whilst riding. I'm not sure.
Dave plummer at Datatool was more than helpful through out  :152:
    Hope this helps

Yes, we've been reading about such instances for quite a while now.

It's going to be tough for Datatool to get any consumer trust back, but good on them for this gesture  :152:

    Yes, I agree.
At least their dealing with it, customer support has been exceptional.
It's all to easy for people to complain, so in this instance, I'm more than happy.

What a cock up, datatool has sent the wrong alarm out to the technician to fit.
It had a standard multi plug fitted to it & not the triumph multi plug :161:
