While trying to sort out a non connect problem with TuneECU I saw this in the documentation (attached). I haven't read it all through but it seems to be a pretty comprehensive write up of what the process is. Maybe you have already seen it, or maybe not, but I thought it was of interest.

I've read the document a while back and it was a big help in understanding the Tiger's ecu before I started making changes to the tune.
