Seen the plods parked on that strecth, but I usually avoid it because everyone drives too fast along there  :164:

Uma vez, s pra ver at quanto a moto chegava, passei dos 200km/h.... quase morri de medo e voltei pros meus 110km/h de segurana. Nesta velocidade eu me divirto mais. :300:

Geordie?

Edit:
Thought it was. I worked in Morpeth, I'll translate for the southerners.

Once, just to see how much the bike arrived, I passed the 200km/h.... I almost died of fear and returned to my 110km/h of security. At this speed I amuse myself more.

That kind of incomprehensible Geordie is usually limited to Westerhope and Kenton. Oh, and the hampered aspirationals now populating Kingston Park and Wickham.

Interesting thread.....

Sometime in 2014-2015 - GPS indicated 142mph sustained for about 3 miles.   Not long after that - I managed 128mph GPS indicated with the wife on the back, but I wasn't trying quite so hard.  She was (ahem) "impressed" when I showed her the max speed on the computer (not sure what that was now but prob 137-ish).  Prevailing winds in that area would likely have been in my favour - but it wasn't gusting or blowing hard.

Both were achieved with stock windshield, mirrors and top box - both times the bike was stable and gave me no concerns.     I think the performance compares pretty favourably with a 2013 Multistrada that I held at GPS 150mph for about five miles - with a cf deflector (in the down position), mirrors and top box.  That was in Nevada tho', so no idea what wind conditions would have been.
