Consider supporting the forum.

Once a year I post a thread asking members to support the forum.

If you have never been on another forum, you might not realize how good we have it.
I hope our donations have kept the ad's down, we don't have them in the middle of our threads like other forums.
To those who don't know, this forum is hosted on a server (computer) it needs bandwidth to deal with the number of members who visit the forum.
It costs money to run the forum.
We can support it with donations, or if the costs rise above income from the side bar ad's we have to deal with now might end up on both sides of the page, and between our posts.
Worst case the owner of the forum pays less for bandwidth, which means our pages load slower.

IF you have down loaded my tune, down loaded a manual. Saved money from a post. Please consider paying it forward and donate.
Before TuneEcu it would cost at least $200 for just the key to use TuneBoy or $400 for the cable and key.
A manual cost me $94 with tax.

I am just a member, albeit a long time member and put my money were my mouth is. I make a yearly donation that has nothing to do with the guards I sell.

If you like the forum, please consider a donation. Whats the forum worth to you, decide then donate accordingly.

Please consider supporting the forum.  Link  to donate

Being brand new to the forum, I must say, three's tons of information here. Found any information I've looked for so far, and by the looks of it, if it isn't here already someone will help making sure it will be here in short order ...

I'll send in a donation, once my pay check arrives. Spent it all on that 1050!!  :001:

I'd always assumed that Admin was pimping out the side bar girls for cash  :007:

I'm not sure of the size of our active membership, but perhaps admin should look at this and then come up with a reasonable amount, adding 50% on for drop outs.

Would a $30pa put anyone off? Would it be enough?

Not sure about your first point, Admin has never pimped or pushed me for cash.
Has always be very appreciative for any money I have donated.

Your second point makes sense, considering how the site has never pushed donations doubt they would ever come up with a suggested donation amount.
It would be nice to know if we all kicked in X the sidebar ad's would go. At the same time it would be just as nice to we are how close to having ad's placed in the middle of our posts like the rat forum.

Last year I did donate $30 and this year it was 50 from my personal kitty.
Several have donated and did not even reply to the thread showing how personal donations can be.

I just ask members to consider what's the forum worth to them and if they have some funds they can support it, please do. We have had many new members join since last year, hoping they would join in.

Mentioning you have donated something will keep this in front of members who might have missed it the first time, payday is around the corner.  :001:
