TB balance - is there a 'right' number
« on: 05 July, 2011, 10:05:54 PM »
Does anyone know what the hpa numbers should read when balancing throttle bodies. I know they should be close to the same (I had some discussion on how close many months ago and I think we decided that 14 apart in tuneboy shouldn't make any difference (7 being one 'unit').

I checked mine tonight...they were 630/640/640, but tonight were reading 610/620/620.

Does anyone know if there's a 'right' or 'optimum' number?

Don't really know tried to make them higher our lower could only balance them in the 600-610 range.  The Triumph manual and the tester they use is just a go or no go affair.

600 to 640 seems to be fine, If you go outside this range you start having problems with stalling at idle. I am balance at 630
