Ah. Thanks for the welcome. Now I feel part of the site! Despite the odd surname [apparently Spaven is a clerical error corruption of Spavin; ancient french for sparrow, but in the dictionary as 'a sparrow shaped tumour on a horses leg'.... Nice], I am from York, but living in Bristol, UK. Next ride planned is to the Scottish lochs and glens for a weekends touring, staying at the Black Bull Inn on Loch Lomond in mid-May. Been there??
