Riding without remapping?
« on: 07 February, 2010, 04:24:45 AM »
I installed a new Arrow race can, and BMC airfilter and opened the snorkle this winter, but still need the dealer to install new arrow map.  Will it hurt the bike to ride it 40 miles to the dealer or should I trailer it?  I'll have to wait for the winter to lighten up so your opinions will be valued. Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it. Actually, I have the same trip to make once I get my airfilter. The exhaust is done and it's running fine, except for the issue with my right wrist........ it just sounds so nice!

:0461: Shouldn't hurt it, particularly if the weather's on the cold side. But I wouldn't make a habit of it  :015:.

It's in the 30s-40s for the next couple months here, but I want to get it done soon just because. I'd like to get a Tuneboy to be able to play with it more, but I'll have to wait and sneak it in later this year.

Yep, they're good fun to play with, but a bit of a challenge understanding how to use them and what it all means  :062:.

I don't have one myself but doesn't  the tuneboy have a suitable tune to suit your setup so you wouldn't have to go to the dealer
